Art allows me to connect with myself. It is a place where what I see and what I paint acts as a conduit to examine what I think and what I feel. If I can share something that I created that touches you in some way, I think that connects us. What I really want in my creativity, in my art, and in my life, is to connect with people who share some common values.
The seeds of my art and writing are often planted during an early morning run, my hike up a mountain trail, or when walking along a busy downtown street. There is beauty in everything if you take the time to really look. Life, I’ve found, is a metaphor waiting to be discovered. My hope is to discover some, and reflect them in my art, and in my words
